MotionTrendz is a global toy and active-lifestyle product manufacturer with the concentration of its products being sold at Wal-mart and Toys R Us.
The art of developing products that "sell-in" to the extremely competitive world of Wal-mart is a challenge in itself. Having products that actually "sell-through" in the extremely competitive world of Wal-mart is even more of a feat, and to do so consistently… Well that’s just a BASIC phenomenon. At this retail level, products have to perform or they are simply replaced.
Through an innovative process we help Motion Trendz develop their products with cutting edge innovation. Gaining and protecting the existing brand position with such a massive retailer is vital to continued success. Our work for Motion Trendz often includes input from other major brands including Disney, Yamaha, and ESPN. This process helps add insight, but can also make for more of a challenge.
The solution to this on-going endeavor is what we call collaborative differentiation. Brainstorming ideas that may not seem feasible in the minds of most, and exploring different ways to make them more relevant so they will work is where we do our magic. Products that we designed, packaged, and developed advertising systems for are in stores - and in some cases, setting sales records.
MotionTrendz is a challenger brand. We help them step up and take on brands like Mattel. How are we doing? Well, our Yamaha Raptor outsells their top performer, the Barbie Jeep consistently. Oh, and the company has grown from a 10 to 60 million dollar company. We would say we’ve done pretty well…
